This has been happening to me lately.Same thing just bogs down then keeps going. But lately it's getting worse.
The only thing that has happened and got me wondering was that I tipped my bike over while running and the thing didn't turn off.I thought the tip over sensor was suppose to shut it off?Do you think it might be a bad sensor?
Nothing else shuts off just loss of throttle!

Mine is an 06 with a little over 38,000 miles on her.I just put a new tip over sensor in it and still the same.I'm going to ckeck all the connections next.
The only other thing I'm going to add is that sometimes after I get done refueling and turn the bike on to start it that little red lite on the dash flashes and won't let the bike start. It's done that to me a few times also.I just turn the key off and on a few times and it starts no problem!I don't know if these are linked too?

Everytime it has come on is after I've refueled and went to resart the bike.No FI error comes on just the red lite flashes when I'm turning it over!

Fuel pump"" The stock pump is not all that great [for racing that is] so with the mileage you have on your bike it may be week? If yes and you replace? go with the 08 up pump, they seem to do a little better ! However yours has gone a long while in my book. .................Bill

By all means check the codes if the light is flashing ! I was under the impression you had no codes. I m with hub on this one'' test first replace after you diag, the problem. You can throw some serious money away chasing parts on these bikes. This money you can use for up grades later.

O.k. it happened again last nite. But this time I just pulled over.Well I had full power, dash was on.I put the bike in nuetral and hit the satrter button, nothing!!I turn the key off and do it again, nothing!I held the mode and reset button to see if a code would pop up,nothing.Well thank god I was on a incline cuz I had to bump start it.Started up after a few tries, then I pulled out of the way and left it running a few minutes.I turn it off then turn back on........no problem!!!WTF
I got home last nite cleaned the kickstand switch(gunky on the outside but clean on the inside)Checked all my connections on the left side and the wiring, good!Any ideals

I installed a seppart relay for the fan with a wire from the battery as power and wired the relay into the fan connector as the on/off.The bike was warm enough to run the fans when it wouldn't start.Plus I did this before my 4200 mile trip in May and the only problem was when I fueled up in Cali and that red light came on then just once. And before that I didn't have the fan hooked up and it did it a few times before that!

Did it again coming home Sunday passing a motorcycle.Had it die when I rolled up to a stop lite, started up just fine.Goin up to Billings Friday nite I noticed it was getting 10miles per gallon less going up???It was fine coming home Sunday???I did a few tests Sunday afternoon on the Tipover sensor and checked wiring routing. All good.
Yay,let the tedious testing begin

Well hooked it up to the computer and.....nothing!I've put an aditional 500+ miles on it with no problems now(39,000+ miles now) I don't know if taking the tank off and checking wires and connections helped or not
i'm going to ride it a bit more this week and weekend cuz when I do my Labor day ride I don't want any problems!!!

My dealer got ahold of Kawi and the only thing they told him was they've had a few problems with the fuel pump connectors on a few models.I know when I took the tank off and checked everything under it looked good.Maybe take'n that connector apart and reconnecting it help?
